Nice find!
I've always had a soft spot for Darts...
(cue the flashback)
The first car that I bought myself when I was in highschool (graduated in '02) was a 1970 Dodge Dart Custom. It was an all original B5 Blue car with matching blue interior. That tough little car only had about 24 000 miles on it's perfect-running 225 Slant Six.
The original owner who bought it new in the fall of '69 had passed away not more than a year or two after he purchased it. Subsequently, his daughter took posession of it, but only drove it on a few long trips as she had other vehicles of her own. The only thing the car needed when I took ownership was a brake job and a few rubbery bits replaced (ie. weatherstripping, hoses, and steering knuckle boots.)
That car served me well for many years. It traveled through blinding blizzards, floods, and many a hail-storm without a complaint. Regardless of it being a 4-door grocery-getter with an underpowered engine, people loved it. It was the recipient of many a thumbs up and, to my surprise, it was a big chick-magnet!
To this day, I still have that Dart and it's as trusty as ever. It definately comes in handy on the days when the snow gets too deep for my SRT vehicles.
Anyways, I guess I've bored everyone enough with my Dart rant. lol
I sure hope Team Dart does well at the Bullrun. I'm not sure what their car is runnin' under the hood, but a Swinger 340 could give alot of those cars a run for their money.
