I thought I heard mid-late summer availability...

I have a question about the Mega Cab as well--Is it going to be available in dualie form??

The 2006 Dodge Ram lineup will start showing up at dealerships in September of this year... so this September you will be able to buy a Mega Cab 1500, 2500, and 3500 model!

pickuptruck.com's write-up suggests there won't be a duallie Mega Cab. Apparently Mega Cabs are only going to get the 6.5' box, duals are only available with a 8' box now, and Dodge didn't want to adapt the 6.5' box to duals. I would guess they decided an 8' box behind the Mega Cab was going to just be too darn long. Long boxes are nice for gooseneck and 5th-wheel work so I suppose folks with serious towing to do are just gonna have to settle for a dually QC 8' box rig.

As a moderator for pickuptruck.com, they are totally correct... the 3500 model Mega Cab w/ be a 6.5' box w/ the CUMMINS "610" option!

even though you can get the 3500 w/ single rear wheels shouldnt they offer it w/ duals? it doesnt seem that they would be adapting the bed at all- i thought it was just a matter of bolting on the big fenders. the frame is the same as the quad cab 8 ft bed so you know that part needs no adapting. when i heard they were gonna offer the 3500 w/o duals i was so happy, but i didnt relise they were just dropping the dualie short box in replaace of it- now that i realize that im kind of disappointed. was there a study that said short box dualies dont sell? because i seem to notice a lot of them but it may just be my area.
