Default A Chrysler Cousin: Mitsubishi Galant:

I thought I would just write a little about this great Chrysler cousin... yes, it is considered a cousin of the Chrysler Group since Mitsubishi has a lot of their stock owned by Chrysler, and they share platforms, powertrains, and etc. Mitsubishi has in my opinion got a great car on their hands w/ the new 2004 Mitsubishi Galant. The Galant is rumored to be sharing it's platform w/ the next generation Stratus Sedan, Sebring Sedan, and Sebring Convertible... no powertrain sharing is rumored, and the platform will be shipped to the Stratus/Sebring plant here in Michigan. Now, Mitsubishi already builds the Sebring and Stratus Coupes off of their Eclipse platform. They also supply the turbo for the SRT-4, as well as shared many other things w/ Chrysler in past years.

The Galant, has some really impressive features... such as the 160 horsepower 2.4L inline-four cylinder, and the powerful 230 horsepower 3.8L V-6. The 3.8L V-6 can be backed by Mitsubishi's version of the autostick tranny called the Triptronic transmission. Works the same way as the autostick feature... matter of fact on the Sebring and Startus Coupes w/ the Triptronic, Chrysler still calls it... autostick.

I really love the interior for that car, mainly the center console. It's neat looking but I think they should make a performance version of it with a V-8. The Triptronic Transmission is cool too.

The only parts I like are the gauges and the seats.

I'd have to say, I like the side profile of the greenhouse the most... looks like a Bonneville!

Hey it really does! Thanks for pointing that out. Especially the back window and the taillights.

I also think the older ones looked a lot better.
