Charger, Avenger, Stratus Info??
I'm new here, guys. I found a link to here from redriderbob's cheersandgears signature. I'm 16 and a HUGE Dodge/Chrysler fan and would absolutely LOVE to see the Charger produced. I really like the Stratus too. My family owns a 2003 Durango and we've went for Chrysler products ever since I can remember. Well, except for my Camaro
. Also, I'm obsessed with the Viper. But, getting back on topic, I found this link to be very interesting...

Thanks for the info, too bad they said the Charger will be the only old car returning, I'd like to see the Challenger come back too. I was under the impression that Daimler axed the Charger and wasn't going to build it. Maybe I heard wrong.
Well there is a lot of things going around lately about the future of Chrysler Group... first, we will have a Charger model sometime by fall of 2005. Not many things have really in set in ink yet, however... we know the Charger will get a V-6 model... more than likely the 3.5L HO V-6, as well as the 5.7L HEMI V-8, and a "rumored" SRT-8 model powered by the upcoming 6.1L HEMI V-8.
I have heard things about the Stratus and Sebring Coupe lines... I first heard, sales are lacking because of the amount of people getting in the SRT-4 models, rathier than the Coupes. The Coupes are built by Mitsubishi at their Illionis plant, and they are built on the Eclipse platform. The Eclipse is getting ready to switch to the next generation model, but I have heard this might be the last front-wheel drive coupes for a while... and since the next generation Neon shares the Mitsubishi Lancer platform, they might just focus on making an EVO/SRT-4 model. However, I still think they will make a coupe model off of the next generation Eclipse... nothing from insiders has been said about this... since everyone is just intrested in the upcoming Charger.
Many inside sources have said the SRT-8 models of the 300C and Magnum will be not powered by the 6.1L HEMI V-8, but a blown (supercharged) 5.7L HEMI V-8.
Any questions? Feel free to ask, will try to anwser in the best way I can!

Just like with me, the only reason the SRT-4 is selling is it's performance. The Stratus/Sebring coupes looks really good, but the SRT-4 is cheaper and will run circles around it. Now if they gave the Stratus and Sebring coupes the performance of an SRT-4, they wouldn't be able to keep up with the sales, they would be on back order forever.[sm=smiley2.gif]
