Default is it possible to put a 5.7L in a new dodge avenger?

The new avengers, you have engine options as follows:
2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve World Engine 173 hp
3.5-liter 235-horsepower V6 engine 235hp

The new Challeger/Chargers, you have the engine options as follows:
3.5-liter High-Output SOHC V6 250hp
5.7-liter HEMIŽ V8 372hp
(and the 6.1 but im not worried about that one.)

are the two 3.5L engines similar, do they share the same motor mounts?

doesnt the 5.7L engine share the same motor mounts as the 3.5L?

if so, is it possible to put a 5.7L in a new dodge avenger?
is the v8 just to big to fit?

I searched the forums in advance of this question for "dodge-avenger 5.7L" and couldnt find an answer.

the avenger is front wheel drive and the engine is transverse...or sits "side to side"..the challenger is a rear wheel drive and uses a longitudinal layout. i see what youre getting at with the idea of the engine "fitting" into the mounts but to make the avenger work with a 5.7, you would have to convert it to RWD.

aw! i cant believe i didnt consider that on my own, thanks strat!

i would rather buy an r/t challenger, but over 30,000 is probably out of my price range as a first time buyer with no credit history.

With the money you would spend to convert a Avenger to a 5.7 you could probably buy 2 Challenger R/T's.
