A look at the Mopar display from the 2010 SEMA Show
The 500 sells for L12-L20 in the UK, which is where I was getting the idea of what it should cost here, but if they can sell them for that much here, I hope they sell a million. Great pictures. It would be nice to see in person, but SEMA is for dealers and jounalists isn't it? Anyway, thanks a bunch.
Quite a few overdone, tasteless cars, IMO. They should have kept it simple. Cars like the Charger and Challenger don't need off the wall rims, body kits, and interiors to stand out. A nice set of rims and a simple, yet unique paint job is more than enough.
Great post though, Pat. Thanks

as for SEMA, it is technically not open to the public but on friday each year, they do sell tickets to the general public.
My thoughts exactly!!!!!
Those Fiat cars look like a SMART Car on steroids!! Butt ugly in my opinnion!!!
that is the sensor for adaptive speed control and accident avoidance.
i think that the fiat looks great for what it is. do i think that it looks good next to a new challenger? not really...but for the small car market, in which dodge really doesnt participate, i think that the 500 will give the company a great entry. the car doesnt look like anything else from the chrysler group, but i think that is ideal as it provides some separation from the current chrysler products but its connected enough that hardcore mopar enthusiasts will still look at it as a viable "mopar" alternative.
also, highrevr, you are right about the price of the mini in a sense. for people who go for the performance oriented JCW mini, the price begins at 30k...and thats with a 208hp motor. Fiat doesnt have a performance model lined up for the fiat yet, but there are plenty of them in europe that could put the 500 heads up with the mini.
