Maybe some hope after all?
Don't know how reliable this is, since no one at DCX is talking, but there is hope that not all is lost......

RE: Maybe some hope after all?
2009 is a loooooong time away. The current Mustang will have been available for several years by the time this thing becomes available, at least based on this preliminary information. And presumably, Pontiac will have reworked the GTO by then as well. If dcx is taking until 2009 for this, they sure better get it right.
Ironically, Dodge was a late player in the original pony car wars - and their car didn't have time to become very successful before that era of muscle cars fizzled out on them. I hope history isn't repeating itself here. I personally question how long this current trend of Detroit muscle is going to last, with $2.00+ per gallon, worries over the environment and fossil fuel and issues in the middle east, etc. Waiting until 2009 seems a long way off, and they're banking on this market continuing to grow until then and beyond. I hope 2009 is just wrong info, but we shall see.
(and they'd better put a gate-shifted manual in this thing! )

hopefully, now that you people know there is hope, you can tone down your whining and bitching about THE CHARGER. the two door makes me happy not to listen to you bitch, and you happy to have it, so it is win-win

To perfect it? They have made entire new platforms in half the time. Once again I feel dc is coming to the party a bit too late. I read in one of the articles that brampton assy won't be able to fit it in. I disagree, with the slow charger sales they should have plenty of room.
