haha...

yeah, it was modded,a nd then some. the drivetrain was out of a 2001 stratus. it was a 2.4 liter, bored and stroked, with a custom turbo, intercooled, and bottled, but with ALL stock appearance and stock interior it ran 10.0s with factory rims and little tiny slicks. last time that i saw him run back home, i was sitting with my dad, and there were some cobra dicks behind me, whose buddy in a blown 04 cobra was pulling to the line against the little 024 charger. they said:

"look at this F'ing dodge thing....daves gonna F him what...whats he doing in slick class?"

well,it so happens that this was the day that i broke the motor in the mirada, and once i lost in my class in my buddys car that i borrowed to run, i began drinking (like i am now, so pardon my spelling, im trying to catch everyting), and when i heard that i turned around and said "have you ever seen that car run? because your friend is about to get his *** kicked and his ugly *** mustang"...i was right..the little charger ripped off a 10.1-something to the cobras balmy low 11"...

they all apologized...

The Challenger was a four cylinder back in the early 80's.....anyone remember the Dodge version of the Plymouth Sapparo?

One of the other forums I go to is down right now, but on there I saw a pic of this new Challenger/HemiCuda. Car looks BAD! And that's bad as in good. Looked like a 2 door version of the Charger w/ a more agressive looking front end, shortened chasis. Oh yea, and in the pic, it was drifting, smoke rolling like mad. I just hope Dodge doesn't blunder again and actually wait til 2010 to put this thing on the market...

Actually you are WRONG! It wasnt called a Challenger it was a CHARGER! Plus if you know your Dodge history (which it doesnt seem you do!) They made a Shelby Charger out of the same concept, and the Dodge Rampage after it too. I should know because I used to have an '84 Dodge omni Charger 4 cylinder when I was in H.S.

no spear_em, he is right, but it was actually the late 70s..not the 80s...

here is a picture of a 1979 sapparo...the challenger was the exact same car.

the only reason that i know of this car is because it is a popular car to drop a small block into...

I used to own a 85 Shelby Charger. First year they put the turbo package on. That thing can haul *** and burn alot of V8's of its time! The cars made back in the 80's were still in the Carter days when automakers still made cars that sip gas and made no crazy horsepower like they did in the 60's and early 70's. It was also part of Iaocca's imagine to make Chrysler an underdawg by being the only domestic maker to build smaller vehicles with 4 cylinder engines that can perform as well as the bigger cars with bigger engines but get much better gas mileage!! Their 2.2 litre bulletproof engines were really something else. I guess that is where the K-cars came into mind.
