Default Mercedes 320 CDI

I was reading the newspaper today and saw Mercedes advertising their new 320 CDI series. They claim this Mercedes 3.2 litre turbo diesel can get up to 780 miles on a single tank! The 3.2 litre puts out over 369 lbs of torque for the quick pick up and go.

I say they should drop these so called hybrid power cars and just invest more in maximizing the efficiency of diesel engines!

Here is the link to Mercede's website on this car!

I hope some or more of these high performance fuel efficient engines come to the Chrysler/Dodge side!

21.1 Gallon Tank & 780miles..... 27mpg street 37mpg highway

However, most cars on gas are running max 14 gallon tank. I got 420 miles to the tank on highway driving in my V6 Beretta......so the 780 miles is pretty reasonable with 21 gallons....

That still is pretty impressive considering its diesel....and I for one would like to have one

That's pretty cool. 0-60 in 6.6 secs.

Diesels are improving alot over the years as far as power and performance! 6.6 is not bad for such a big car and this diesel is just a inline 6 and 3.2 litres!!!

That's very interesting. Another masterpiece from Mercedes and the techology to follow. I'm suprised how fast they were able to make that go too.
