Let's see here. Compass/Patriot: Mitsubishi platform based, Hyundai based engine and transmission currently JATCO/Nissan previously on the CVT. The main complaints about the Cherokee are the Hyundai based I4, the ZF tranny, and the FIAT platform; therefore, where has Chrysler failed in this list when most of the components that are sighted as problematic are not their own technology and things like the Pentastar 3.2L V6 that are there technology are not cited as one of the problems. FIAT technology needs to be retired and given the back burner treatment and Chrysler tech which has made the Ward's list winners such as the Hemi & Pentastar V6, the growing in demand DODGE Ram models, and other real Chrysler tech continues to gain momentum should be put in the driver's seat in the company especially when the Neon based eToRQ I4 produces numbers not far off of FIAT's I4s and without the recent technology that the FIAT has helping it (VVT/Multi AIR).

 

No Dodge cars on the list, of course
