Default SEMA: 2003 Howell Neon SRT-4

2003 Howell Neon SRT-4

When Car and Driver brought together talent from across America to compete in their four-pot challenge, this two tone Neon took top honors. Howell Automotive modified this SRT4 and their efforts were well rewarded with a first place among the other tuned imports.

With a lengthy list of engine modifications, $15 000 in total, the Howell Neon produces around 450 bhp. To keep the torque steer in check and power to the pavement a Quaife limited-slip differential is used. With a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds it would seem Howell have turned the Neon into a real banger.

Other highlights included in this show car are Wilwood discs up front and Vogtland coil overs all around.

Wilwood is spelled wrong I believe.

Nice car, good setup. The color is a bit much though...
