VW to build a Polo for DCX?

Rumors are running rampant about Volkswagen building a Polo-based car for DaimlerChrysler, just weeks after the two companies announced that theyâ€™re working out a plan for DCX to build a van for Volkswagen based on the Voyager.

The little DaimlerChrysler is expected to come off the same line as the VW Polo itself. Though pressed for details, DaimlerChrysler and Volkswagen are both keeping quiet on the topic.

The Polo is a good looking car and I think a Chrysler based model would sell great. DC needs to use a diesel engine in it, or atleast offer one too.

If they are going to use this I wish they would at least use a Chrysler powertrain or a Detroit Diesel engine. I don't think it would be a good idea to use VW because of their lackluster reliability, but I'm also opposed to them using that Hynudai I4 block as a base design.
