How about a 6.1 R/T ?

Yep, that's why I always call them Dumler.
The idea of bumping the 5.7 out of the Ram and into the Dakota and putting the 6.1 in place of it in the Ram is a good idea........That is exactly why it won't happen. Just another reason why I call them Dumler. Or maybe it should just be Dummer.[sm=exactly.gif]

Well, Interestingly enough, Dodge did reply to my letter. Though obviously a sophisticated, form letter response, their major point at the end was "check out the Challenger coming to a Autoshow near you". Though I still would like them to do a 6.1 R/T Charger or the Superbee mentioned in this thread, the Challneger warrants a look. I like the retro look big time. And if they truly do a manual trans (hopefully, pistol grip), I will give it serious considertion!
Hopefully, they'll do like the mustang and Challengers of yesteryear and put v6's in some and 6.1s in their R/T version...perhaps w/ a shaker

Yep, I thought the '99 concept was on target too. And that concept car still shows up at the Mopar Nationals. Interesting that they did not crush it, like most. I hope they learned their lesson. If the Challenger comes down the line 90% or more like shown, they will have redeemed themselves with me.
I just love seeing them bring back some of the heritage, but it has to have the bite..this will be a good test.

I do bet DC does some striking re-design elements on the Charger in '08 to pick up more heritage aspects if the Challenger gets "strong" response on the autoshow circuit and in the press. Imagine what a few subtleties such as "hideaway headlights", a Superbee version (as mentioned) or the 6.1 option of this thread (without SRT8). Their investment is already there and sales have been good. Although gas prices are not helping this equation at all!!
