Erik Latranyi pointed out that, for the first time, the Jeep Liberty has outsold the Ford Escape to be the best-selling compact SUV in America for calendar-year 2005:
1. Liberty - 166,883
2. Escape - 165,122
3. CR-V - 150,219
4. Equinox - 130,542

The only problem is when you consider that Mercury has their own version and Dodge doesn't have their own version of the Liberty, YET. But beyond that, way to go Jeep! They proved that having a hybrid model is not necessary to sell vehicles in this country.

no mazda had the tribeca I dont recall mercury having their own version of the escape...if there is find a pic and post it.

The tribeca is a subaru anyways. The mazda version of the escape/mariner twins is the tribute.
