Default Chrysler is trying to decide what to do next with its PT Cruiser

Chrysler is trying to decide what to do next with its PT Cruiser, which has been on the market since 2001. Eric Ridenour, chief operating officer for the Chrysler Group, said the automaker is trying to decide where to go with styling and power. Chrysler is considering offering a V6 engine with the next-generation model, instead of four-cylinder engines only. Chrysler is also unsure how to style the vehicle. With a vehicle so unique, “what do you do next? asked Ridenour at a press event in at Chrysler’s Auburn Hills, headquarters. Final decisions will be made this year, Ridenour said. The new PT Cruiser will likely be sold as a 2009 model. Chrysler recently announced production of the 1 millionth Chrysler PT Cruiser.

I think they need to go in this direction...

Chrysler California Cruiser Concept from a couple years back. The chopped roof and two tone paint are awesome. I love this concept.

I like that!!!!! I could do without that crappy side panels....but I really do like that concept. Very clean, straight lines, would sell I think. I always thought the PT Cruiser should have been a 2dr option....and I'm glad they offered it on the convertible option....which is fun to drive. I think this could help increase sales...especially with a V6...

definitaley, throw a 2 door option on it, a v6 engine, that california styling (headlgiths, taillights, low-pro rims n tires) and that thing would sell...right now it isnt a bad looknig car but is thought of as a grampa car and does not attract too many teens...i think if they base it off that cali concept itll be a huge success for teens and adults everywhere

The California Cruiser Concept would be a great way to go....if they fixed the transmission problems first and made it reliable. Something all Chrysler's should start.
