Challenger pic
I don't have a story here, but figured you'd like this picture. It's a picture from AutoWeek (there's a link to the article on the bottom). The Challenger Concept is running on current Charger SRT8 wheels and tires. They look too narrow for the rear and 'sunk into the body' (something the designers were trting to avoid) in my opinion. I hope the production version looks as good as this concept, as long as they can solve the rubbing issue with those 21's...

i have spoken with a VERY reputable source about this, and those pictures with the SRT wheels are when they intend to make any sort of long trip. my source told me that on its last california stretch, they drove the car about 75 miles from the safe confines of the trailer, so they swapped to the production SRT8 wheels and tires.

Ah, I see. Do you think the wheels from the show car will make production? If not the design, at least the sizes?

On the other hand, they are looking for ways to fit bigger tires in without getting that terrible gap between tire and fender that most GM cars seem to have. The Chevy Cobalt SS looks like it's walking around on its tiptoes. I've been told that GM leaves space for snow chains. Hey, who uses snow chains anymore?
And double hey, if BMW and Audi can get close fits, why can't Amurican car makers do it?
