It looks like they slapped a Crossfire front end on a damn Saturn L300......[:'(][&:][:@]

Sorry, but this just shows me the lack of emphasis on midsize sedans/coupes that Chrysler/Dodge have....
Thats exactly what I thought when I saw it. Its not for me but I'm sure there will be lots of people who like it.

i think the 6 speed auto will probably have autostick. i absolutely love the interior. I'm so excited about the avenger. I'm more likely to buy one of those especially if the interior is anything like this. by far the best interior i have seen in a chrysler and i love it.
Same here. I may go for the Dodge version if it is anything this nice. Of course, I will have to get the correct output for the 3.5L none of this 235hp/232ft-lbs crap, that engine is meant to put out 250, no less. BTW, why is the fuel economy so barely effected by the rise in the overall top gear ratio barely effect the fuel mileage on the 3.5L. The overall top gear ratio in the LH cars with the 3.5L was about 2.53 this one has a 2.248 overall top gear ratio. How did the 2.7L get a fuel mileage increase. I understand the 2.4L with the dual-VVT and the higher compression ratio. They need to retire the 41TE so then the fuel mileage and acceleration will reval their competition. I hope they decide to either put in the 4.0L or increase the output of the 3.5L so then they can actually be (gasp) competitive. I hope the 6-speed covers for the lower output.

the 3.5 with the 6 speed will be right on the top of its class. the first gear is huge. speed is not a concern in this car it is covered. the interior is exceptional. it is feature rich. if the 3.5 comes with AWD I'm sold assuming the dodge version is extremely similar. by the pictures from the video the exterior will be excellent and i will trade my intrepid in as a down payment since they aren't expensive as **** like a charger.

I didn't notice the AWD part. Do you think the Dodge version will have the higher output version of the 3.5L? I'm considering it as well.

doubt it, but the 3.5 may have lost some power for a better curve. we may never know but there is a reason behind it and this car will be damn impressive and be way faster then both of our intrepids and chases neon.

AWD is a dream that i believe will be late availability.

This car is ok. Nothing earth shattering, but ok. The question is, is it good enough to make a dent in a very crowded segment. I hope so. The most likely reason for the reduced output for this 3.5 is perhaps it needed to have a smaller intake to fit in the model. I know thats why the 4.7 has different horsepower ratings in different trucks.

yeah if it is the air intake just wait until k&n gets there *** in gear and you will get that 15 hp right back.

Your probably right about that. Either that or they intentionally underrated it. Here is something interesting that I found. The 234hp & 241 ft-lbs of torque version of the 3.5L used in 2002 Intrepid ES had a compression ratio of 9.5 to 1 instead of the 10.0 to compression that this has, which is the same compression that the Charger and other LX cars have. I guarantee it is faster than either of our Intrepids.

That output is higher than my old 3.5L (this produces 21hp & 11 ft-lbs of tq more than mine did when it was new), plus this will have a super short first gear and a nice in between gear what is my 1st and 2nd. I wouldn't dare race one of these with a 3.5L. I'd get my butt kicked. What I'm saying is I don't want to get my butt kicked by a G6 GTP, Toyota Camry (isn't that embarrasing), or Nissan Altima SE-R because they have more hp & torque than I do. Granted these cars are more expensive, but I still don't want to be beat.

After doing more looking, this is going to be one comfortable car. It has more room in it than either the Camry, Accord, G6, and is comparable with the Altima. Your right that it is damn impressive.

That will be the first thing I will do. K&Ns save money and produce power, not cost money. They are a great investment. However, if this was the case for the 3.5L getting a power drop, then how come the output for the 2.7L is the same as it is in the Magnum and 300, which was already detuned. It probably is either detuned for a flatter power curve or being underrated.
