Dodge Sidewinder?????????
When I bought my truck, I asked the sales guy what ever happened to the Dodge Sidewinder. He couldn't give me an answer. Can anyone tell me what happened to them. Thanks. Jeff
Does anyone have pictures of it?.

Dodge Sidewinder Concept:

The Concept:
Created without apologies for "street truck enthusiasts," the Dodge Sidewinder concept vehicle takes the sport truck idea to the extreme. How else would you explain the 600+ horses rampaging inside the 488 cubic inch, all-aluminum V-10 engine? Once you strap yourself in, you throw the switch labeled "Arm". Then, after you carefully consider whether or not you have the stomach to do launch, you push the "Ignite" button. All at once you understand why driving this baby is a flat-out blast.
The Specs:
Engine: 8.0-liter aluminum Viper GTS-R endurance engine, 600+ horsepower, 700 pound-feet of torque
Transmission: Four-speed automatic with a drive ratio of 3.07
Brakes: Four wheel ABS with 15" discs
Goodyear Tires: Front 225 35 R21, Rear 305 35 R22 with flame-patterned tread
The Dimensions:
Overall Width: 74.2"
Overall Length: 189.2"
Overall Height: 55.9"
Wheelbase: 112"
Front Track: 65.3"
Rear Track: 61.3"
Wheels: Front 8" x 21", Rear 11" x 22"
Weight: 2,700 lbs.
1997 Dodge Sidewinder Concept: Dodge decided to build an extreme take off of the Dakota for hot rod lovers. This truck was and still is a hot concept still at auto shows today. The supposed reason it fell through, was because of Chrysler Corp. at the time, didn't want to take the images off of the Viper and Prowler. But since it was based firmly off a Dakota, the idea would have been somewhat inexpensive!

Look under the Sidewinder badge... it says Dakota...
The Ram SRT-10, was actually originally taken from the 1994 Dodge Ram VTS Concept, that showed w/ the 1994 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe Concept (pre-production model)!

I knew where the SRTs' originated from!! I just didn't know what became of the Sidewinder.
And believe me, my choice would be the sidewinder. [8D]

no you are not, I would love to have a SRT-10 Ram, let alone a Sidewinder, that was one nice looking concept, I had to settle for a SRT-4. It screams I would hate (love) to see what the sidewinder would do.
