More on the 2008 Viper and Firepower
it should be pointed out that allpar has a tendancy to post rumors as fact...based on the what people "hear"...
the firepower "has definately is said to have been approved"..."rumor roundup summary"...
i already know what the interior refresh is...and ive seen it

I heard the Viper will be on the AJ_FWFNWF _+)G platform and will have wings. It'll be offered in only hot rainbow and pretty pink. How about we share that on AllPar as truth because that's how it's sounding to me. Just more third party, "I heard so and so" nonsense....
How much faster can you get considering the one now nearly attains 200mph? Also using the same gear ratio with just a bigger engine, how will that make it "much faster"
Again, still 2006. Keyless entry would be great, anti-lock brakes aren't wanted by owners, HID lamps would be a dream come true.
The 2008 Dodge Viper is solid - much faster
Anti-lock 4-Wheel-disc brakes
Dual side exhaust
HID headlamps
Keyless Entry

Keyless Entry
the current viper has HIDs..."projection lights"
yeah, well my sisters husbands kids uncles girlfriends lover told me that the new viper would be AWD, and is actually using 2 twin turbo inline 5 cylinders built by volvo instead of a V10.
they will also only run on virgins blood...and will be the fastest car ever...
seriously though..the guys who "hear this and that" at allpar are only spreading rumors...and what factual information they have comes from the DCX media, which several members here are members of, like midnightblueneon...
that "mclaren is building the engines" rumor is all over the place...the new viper that i saw did not have the hillborn style injection shown on the ASC (which isnt involved with DCX), but it did have a different intake manifold. the hood appeared to be the only new change, but it could have been a mule testing the new enigne. lets keep in mind that ASC is the same company who builds the 300C ragtop..and several rumor sources have been saying that it will be built for years..

Allpar was the first to break info on the Viper skipping the '07 model year as well as the first to reveal the news about the new 8.4 engine. Same with the '07 Pacifica, detailed info was posted over a year ago that proved dead accurate. All the features and options for the new Sebring as well as its introduction date were first posted there long ago and turned out to be right on the money. Same with the Nitro, Aspen, Patriot and even the '08 Ram and Dakota, lots of good info posted long before anyone else had it. Allpar has maintained a 2005-2009 "Production schedule" with model release date information not found anywhere else and which also has an unbelievably accurate track record. Like other "Rumors" sections on different web sites there will always be a lot of hits and misses, but if you know where to look and whose information to trust it's amazing what you will find out there.
Note also that as far as DCX media goes there are many different levels to which different sources have access. Just about anyone can gain access to the main media site but there are also other sites for "special" media people, including but not limited to temporary private web sites for downloading photos, press kits and other documents. They also send out info via overnight courier to selected accounts.
