NEw DCX products in the wild, kind of...56K BEWARE!
So while we were out and about today, I was poking around in some random parking lots (
) and i came up on a group of interesting cars, hidden away from the public streets..i thought that I would post them up..
first, what looks to be to be a well used srt-4 caliber mule...I know that DCX has released press package photos, but have there been real world shots yet?

Next, a few of the new Sebring from the rear...with a trailer hitch...

A few of what I believe is the new Viper mule...it had the "new hood", but I couldnt get a picture of the hood where you could see anything. there was also a "new viper" in the infield at chelsea, but i only got video of that, no stills. Interesting additions for aerodynamics, eh? And next to it a new masked up wrangler...

Now, this last piece, make of it what you will...it makes for an interesting discussion point...The logos on the side are covered, but they do say grand cherokee...im guessing that they were playing with aerodynamics on Chelsea...Idont forsee this making it to production...

Also, I came across the SRT-8 300C...check out the exhaust...im not quite sure what was going on there, and it appeared to have some odd connections under the rear bumper. Here are pictures of the odd ball pictures, followed by the pictures of a production rear end.

IfI had a camera on me at the time I could have added some pics of the Nitro...It was parked at my work for about 20 min while I was on my lunch break. I must say they actually look pretty good.
"Random" parking lots eh? Ones that happen to be full of ONLY DCX vehicles?
I wonder why the "Cherokee" has hood pins? And what looks like an intercooler. [&:] Maybe they're doing diesel testing with it...or something [&:] It looks a lot like a Mercedes SUV with that front end and those headlights.

i agree on the intercooler point...everything behind the grill appeared to have been very quickly painted....
there were a ton of nitros, but i see those frequently...i didnt know that they were rare, or i would have gotten some pictures of those too...
there were alot more masked vehicles in chelsea than usual...i couldnt tell what most of them were either, but its alot harder to get pictures there.

I Drove prototype cars in northern Minnesota last year during the winter for testing purposes. Every vehicle that we drove had that same exhaust setup with it sticking way out and having the curled tips. i dunno why, mabye to keep everything the same. Oh yeah what we were driving was a 08 Chrysler Pacifica, that thing was pretty fast with the 4.0l in it mated with the triptronic gears. i could get a sligt chirp out of 3rd gear with it. otherwise the job sucked because it was 8 hours starting at 4pm to 1am. just my 2 Cents
chase, i either missed that before, or i just dont remember it...yours is like a "nicer" version...the pictures dont really show it, but the cars that i shot were all pretty chewed up, especially the srt4 and the viper...
cdusthockey, what do you do?
