I like that move. Replace the PT and the Pacifica with one vehicle. Then make a Town and Country with regular back doors like the Pacifica. Problem solved.

Good! I liked the car itself, but it had problems. My parents had bought one earlier this year, and had problems with the transfer case. They had it in the shop 4 times, and finally had enough; trading it in on a '06 PT Cruiser. Which is what my mom wanted in the first place. After the 3rd time of having the Pacifica in the shop; my parents asked if this was a known problem...They said that Chrysler knows about it, but wont make a recall on it....This problem is probably why it is being discontinued. It makes sense to discontinue a product that will cost too much money to fix an expensive problem.

 

Went the way of the Eagle made 20 years before it. I hate to see it go though. I hope they at least offer the 4.0L in the Town and Country in their next model. They need to be more competitive in the acceleration department.

On another note, god i hate the new Chrysler hoods... They're are gonna lose some sales due to that...

Well they did introduce the Aspen for 07, which is similar, just a little bit bigger.

I do not think they should get rid of the PT, but a refresh design is over due. They milked that market enough and GM made "their" PT recently further watering down that market.

 

Saw this and Decided to clarify here. The Pacifica is still being built. The did NOT pull the plug on the Pacificas. What they did put off was the Pacifica replacement or refresh scheduled for 2009. So to clarify the Chrysler Pacifica is not cancelled!

 

Wow, now that I read the article, you're right... I was just going by what redriderbob said in his post...
