RE: Chrysler Sebring Sedan SEMA Custom Concept:
I have heard rumors of SRT versions of the Sebring and Avenger. I think it would be a good idea to offer an SRT-6 version for the Sebring (a modified 4.0L as SRTblog lists) and the SRT-4 for the Avenger. Dodge is purely about performance at a reasonable price (most of the time) and having a refined V6 is more Chryslers area. This way the Sebring can compete against the best of Nissan and Toyota (still seems odd to say that), Mitsubishi, Pontiac (GXP models), while the Avenger can compete against Mazda, Saab, and others who use turbocharged I4s to compete with performance.
My question is can the 62TE handle the extra tq that might be made from a modified 4.0L, and what did they do to modify the 4.0L to get the extra 30 hp?

I agree keep the SRT Avenger different to the SRT Sebring to keep them in a different class from each other. I like the idea of the Sebring staying a V6.
