2008 DODGE DAKOTA PIC
I read from allpar website that the VVT technology will be in place on the DCX engines by 2009-2010. Wished it came earlier. You may see the 5.7's pushing 400 hp with VVT technology as well as improved emissions and better MPG's.
Personally I like the 2nd gen the best. 3rd generation just had too much silver, on the sides of the head light, showing. I was hoping they would body color that area and make the head light less blocky.
The 4th generation, to me is an improvement to the 3rd in the fact that the body now is flush with the head light agin like the 2nd generation. But the silver upper and lowerbars on ether side of the head light just grabs my attention and makes me cringe. To me, that's what makes the truck ugly from the front at first glance. From the side it looks good. Still has that fat fender look in which I like.
I had just hoped the front head lights would blend into the fender like the PT cruiser, 1938 - 1940 ford, 1939 desoto & plymouth & dodge & chrysler. I think I like most 1938-'41 model vehicles + '37 ford. The last of the pointy nose grills untill PT cruiser.
I still want a pt cruiser pickup diesel but the size of the dakota or toyota tacoma.
