MT: Couldn't get into a gear
Hi there, first of All sorry for my bad language. I'm from Germany on a Work and Travel Trip through North America.
Problem:
I bought a Dodge Caliber 2.4 2007 (Manual Transmission) a couple months ago and since yesterday i cannot get into a gear when the engine is on. It seems like the clutch is still closed. I guess the Slave Cylinder is done because it has no pressure to open the clutch.
Details: The Brake fluid looks good. The clutch pedal has a good resisdent (its hard)
i couldn't see any fluid leeks on Pipes instead of the oil tank under the car its full of oil thats why i thought it leaks into the transaxle.
I am very afraid about the costs for the replacement. it could be between 150 (slave cylinder) and 800 (whole clutch) thats why i hope to get help here to localize the failure.
