Need more info. Is it a big block v8 or small block? What engine and transmission. What color and what options does it have: Air conditioning, power windows, luggage rack, rallye dash, etc. all make a difference in collectibility.
72 CHALLENGER 340 / 727, SLAPSTICK. AS FOR THE REST IM UNSURE AS THE LEFT TO RIGHT HAND CONVERSION CHANGED THE DASH, PUT A NINE INCH IN IT [:'(](TOSSER)AND COLOUR OF THE CAR. CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION SO I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE.
IS THERE A WAY TO IDENTIFY FROM THE VIN??
IS THERE A WAY TO IDENTIFY FROM THE VIN??
VIN will only tell part of story, but here goes.
JH23= Challenger hardtop
JS23= Challenger Rallye (only 6,902) made.
Trans does not show in VIN.
Check engine block and trans for last six digits to see if drivetrain matches your VIN number on dash.
Hope that helps
Sorry, forgot. Also check under backseat for Broadcast sheet (old peice of paper) that would be the mother load to your questions, assuming it matches the VIN to car as well.
Frankly, any of these E body mopars in "good, solid" shape are worth saving.
