Default 64 barracuda questions

Hi all I just aquired a 64 barracuda witha 340 dodge engine, it runs terrible and I think the firing order is off and or a wire is wrong. with the hood up which side is number one plug on? driver or passenger front? also I want a pertronix distributor for it anyone have a website or model number on the pertronix unit? also I want to up date the brake master cyl it has the old single resvoir and I want the double will the duster fit? thanks all u muscle car buffs

1,3,5,7 on the drivers side starts the firing order. Number one cylinder at the front.
Jegs sells some Pertronix distributors. They are also sold under other names.
Not an expert at the brake thing, but it can be done.

I'm pretty sure besides a slant 6 the 8's available in 64 were a 273 or a 318, I doubt the big boys were available but who knows?? The 340 a retrofit?

The 273 2 bbl. was the only V8 available in 64.

318's were available, maybe not in a Barracuda but lots of full size cars had'm. I had a 65 Barracuda 273 Formula S sure miss that one.. Drunk lady in a Buick wrapped it around her bumper.

I was talking about the Barracuda only.

According to the latest news Cuda will soon be released. I don't know is this a rumor or what, but they say that it will come with 2,4-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine as standard and monster 6.2-liter V8 engine as optional. However with price range from 30,000 to 50,000 dollars this will be acceptable for me. I would really like that this isn't fake news about 2018 Dodge Cuda.
