4006 630 says it's a - 440 RB 78 and the 440 is the C.I.D.

If it where cast as:
2536 430 440 RB 66-72
3698 830 440 RB 73-78 (Full Series)

It would probably be in the owners manual under specifications. The manual usualy tells everything about the motor from compression to what weight of oil to put in the motor. Those numbers should match the cars paper work ??
By the way, you have an awesome looking Challenger! R.V

Without knowing what pistons are in it and their postion in the cylinder(the relationship to '0' deck) its would be impossible to know. Also the cylinder head combustion chamber size ( 'cc') is also needed.

you could buy a compression tool and check it that way, but that wont give you the standard "10.5:1"...it wil be measured in pounds...

you could probably figure out what that motor originally came in. IE a truck or whatever.. then you could look up what the factory said the stock compression was. HOWEVER.. that is assuming those heads have never been off the car, or the heads are not stock , or the pistons are not stock , or there has been porting work done.. all this will change the compression. I would just do a compression test on it. That way you actually know what the compression is. have you ever had the engine apart?
