Newbie Here
Hi all,
I am the proud new owner of a 68 Barracuda fastback. Not in running condition, it's a project car. I've mostly been a Ford person, I have two 66 Mustangs and a 69 F-100. But I definitely like my new MOPAR and I am looking forward to restoring it.
Can some of you recommend some good catalogs for restoration parts?
Thanks in advance!
JM

Hi crazycracker,
Congratulations on your MOPAR!!!
On-line you can check Jim's Auto Parts, The Paddock, and Legendary Interiors have a nice selection of parts and you can request a catalog from them on-line. I guess it depends on what parts you are looking for. E-bay is another source but you need to be careful.
Hope that helps...

DO NOT under any circumstances buy from Jim's Auto Parts. Anything he has can be bought cheaper elsewhere; he makes a regular habit of poor customer service and overpricing everything. Harden's is a good source; Layson's is another. Start by picking yourself up a copy each of Hemmings Motor News and Mopar Collector's Guide and go through their parts sections.
I know that Jim's can be a little higher than some, (for some parts) but I have gotten parts from them in the past. This spring I ordered a passenger side floor pan from them and they really were not as high as others that I had seen. When the pan arrived, it was marked wrong and was the wrong side. They took it back with no problem and sent another one. But, I do realize that others may have had bad experiences.
However, thank you TeeWJay426 for the heads-up regarding service. Maybe when I was dealing with the floor pan, they were just having a good day.
