Default to build or to buy engine

Looking for a new engine for my 70RR had a 383 in it. The original block was gone when I got it.
OPTIONS
Crate engine takes the fun out of it.
Looking at options of a stroked 383 crate engine like a 430-484 anybody run one of these.
What is the best deal for under $10,000 B engines and streetable
Some have a warranty
or
Build a engine
Spend more money??????????
You now exactly what you are getting .
Build engine over time isn't as hard on the pocket
Parts and machine shop local in case of problems.
Thanks Kwcrawler

Default RE: to build or to buy engine

Get yourself a 383 block and stroke that thing to a 451. Better to build, then you get exactly what you want, not what the other guy thought was good
