Default rear end doner cars

My coronet has the original 8.25 with 2.71 gears behind it right now. I am looking for a replacement in better shape with a better ratio.
8 3/4 rears are impossable to find in my area. Another 8.25 will be fine but there are almost no cars left as old as mine in the yards. Will rear ends out of any late 70's and 80's cars be direct bolt ins? Also, does anyone know if adakota rear is the same width? Thanks

Aaron

Interesting question. If you have the measurements for your exisitng axle, I'd do some exploring in terms of Dana 60 axles. They are the ultimate in strength and were used in tons of applications mopar and not. So someone like Randy's Ring and Pinion may be able to help you determine what Dana axles are similar or same dimensions as your existing to narrow your vehicle search. Many Dana's were under trucks and SUV's too. Just a thought...
