Default 65 Satellite..whats it worth??

I hear its a rare car, but want to know what it is worth. Friend of mine has it sitting under a car port with wood and other junk stacked on it.
It is a 1965 Plymouth Satellite convertible, factory A/C, power windows with a 440 wedge I believe. I think it has power steering and power brakes as well. It is a 4 speed. Interior is in great shape, rag top is great, chrome trim is superb. Paint and boby is flawless. It is not the original color, it is now plum crazy purple. It has 30,000 (+/-) original miles. Ran until 2003 (thats when the last registration date is on sticker) Thinking of buying it from him.
Thanks

"What's it worth" is always hard to answer, depends on actual condition, your personal taste, and what the seller is willing to accept in cash or trade for it. Me not being a fan of that particular body style might not think it is worth much, whereas someone who fancies that car might bring truckloads of cash to the table. Check the KBB value, and do a bit of e-bay/craigs list searching to see what the going rate for a '65 Satty has been recently.

Yeah, I know that is always a hard question, but if it is the model I think it is, it is only 1 of 663 made. Does anyone know of a special code or tag on the car that would identify this as one if the 663 made? I have seen 2 like this on collectorcartrader.com, one was $99,500 and the other was call for price...
I am a Charger/GTX man myself..but if this is the model I hope it is, I can get this car dirt cheap.. I am just not familiar at all with Satellites... or I might know this answer myself.

Depends on how much is original on the car. If it's indeed a 440 in it, that isn't original.... and you already know the plum crazy paint isn't. I'm not familiar with the codes for a 65 Satellite, but a 4-speed ragtop would be a fairly rare find. Check this website out; they probably have a lot of answers you may need. If you say you can get it 'cheap', without knowing what you consider that to be, I'd grab it if I were you- you aren't going to go wrong with a 4 speed ragtop, no matter what the original engine was.

I would agree w/ Teeway... Also, a 4 speed in '65 is pretty unusual overall, some had 3 spd manuals. Though 440 is incorrect, would assume a wedge was original to the car so that's good cotton to be in...and ragtop w/ factory air is always good. One last thing, manual trans w/ AC is quite uncommon striaght through the 70's. If it is solid, sounds like a good score if reasonable.
