I have a 71 charger with a 318 and i just bought the gasket kit but i would like some advice on porting and polishing my heads with my dremal.

 

you'll need a template kit before you start. to check where you are cutting. too depth and with will ruin your heads.

 

Can I use my gaskets as a template, what I was going to do is just open it up to that size. I have stock everything but the carb, which is a 650 cfm edelbrock so I do not want to port them to much or I will loose power instead of gain power.
