That same issue of Mopar Action has an untouched original 440+6 Superbird in it as well as the '71 Hemi SuperBee.

Hey McMopar what you have pictured is the beautiful Pam and one of her many (1 of) chargers. Every year at Carlisle her and her husband bring down their concept Superbirds, they take chargers and make them up to look like their idea of the perfect superbird. The black one you have pictured is nice but they have a white one that is awsome (I'll look for pictures of it)!!

Here is the one they brought this year painted up like a gaint watermelon!

Here's a few shots of each of their 3 prior creations.

Wow Tom I haven't seen the red 71-72 Plymouth Daytona clone before that is different, I like it!

Where did you get those shots from?

Mike- those were pics I took on the moparts.com New England cruise back in June of this year. They had all three of their wing cars there, plus another friend brought the GL clone in back of the black car in the first group of pics. The orange car and white car are both running crate Hemis with a custom fabricated 6 pack set-up, backed by a Keisler 5-speed; the black one is a 440 6-pack 4 speed. All three have sunroofs installed as well. They are very impressive, especially when you see them out on the road all in line!

I have always loved the '71 Superbird concept and have always wanted to build my own. I couldn't do it unless I had a non-matching numbers Roadrunner to start with and then the money to do the rest. They would have swept NASCAR completely with the new body design if they were not banned from using it with the Hemi.
