Default 1968 Coronet value?

Sorry its a 1969. Ok, so I found a '69 Coronet for $1400. No engine, no trans and some surface rust. Havent seen it in person so it could be worse. Here's my question, how much is the thing worth? Dont want to be a sucker but I have the feeling itll slip through my fingers if I dont act quickly. Any help??

Thanks

Seems like a good price since it has no mechanicals. Mopar collectors guide has some for 10,000 - 15,000 with engine and all other parts,

Default 68 Coronet 440

Looking to buy a 1968 Coronet with a 440. Do not think it is a numbers matching car. Low miles and average price range. Where do these cars have problems with rust (wheel wells, sills, ect.)? My Demon was from California, but sold in Pennsylvania and this car is the same,
Thanks,
FF

Keep in mind the muscle car market is WAY down. I would look hard at that car if you are looking at 10 grand in body work then another 5-10-15 for motor/tranny then interior/glass. now you have alot of money into a non numbers matching car. IMHO You have surpassed what they are going for finished out. Its hell loving old cars LOL

I already put about $10,000.00 into my Demon that had no body problems. It is numbers matching so I am replacing the suspension (PST), exhaust (TTI), and replating the chrome. I am looking at the Coronet for a car that was going to upgraded in the future for fun such as a 426 Hemi engine and so on. It is listed for $25,000.00 and looks like the body is in excellent shape. I Was wondering if they have specific problems with rusting in panels,
Thanks,
FF

Lower quarters, around the rear window, trunk pans, trunk lid lips, upper fenders were all '68 problem spots for rust. Look it over closely!
