a no. matcher 68 383 is a 72-77 440.i need all possible numbers on the 440 to prove my case.don't want this ole boy to get hurt if you get me

Are you looking for block casting numbers? The C.I. is cast into the side of the block along with the build date and casting number.

Get the numbers off the pad on the front top of the block, by the distributor. Should have all the info you need, post 'em here and I can decipher them.
