Looking for a 69 Superbee
I am currently looking for a 69 Superbee. It was my Father's car back in the day and I am hoping to track it down, as long as it hasn't met the crusher yet. It was green with a white vinyl interior. A 383 with a 4spd manual on the floor, and had the ram charger hood with ram air. The scoops on the hood had been painted white to match the interior. The engine had been balanced and blueprinted and had steel braided lines all around. The white stripe on the back had been removed and only the "Bee" emblem remained. I know that it is an extremely long shot to track this down but I had to give it a shot. I unfortunately do not have the VIN number, but the car was sold from a dodge dealership in Chicopee Massachusetts in 1972 when my father traded it in upon his engagement to my mother. I am hoping that it might still be in the New England Area. As I said I know it's a long shot, but if anyone is from the area and might know anything, or how to go about tracking it down, I would greatly appreciate it.
It might help if you had the last known license plate number it had, you might then be able to check through the DMV and find either the current owner or the VIN. You might also try contacting Galen Govier, he has a growing database on Mopars around the world and could be your best chance at finding this car. Here is a link to his website: http://www.gvgovier.com Good luck.
