Default 1967 coronet R/T Vehicle Decode Help -- URGENT

I am contemplating purchasing a 1967 Coronet r/t. My problem is when I decode the serial number I come up with two different results. When using the decoder on "old ride.com" they indicate that the 5th symbol - Engine with a code of "L" is a 8-383. When I use the decoder on "Decode This" the 5th symbol "L" comes up as a 440. Really confused and need Mopar expertise on this one. Additionally "oldride" indicates the seventh symbol - assembly plant should be a letter designation. The serial number I am checking is numerical in the 7th digit .. Lynch?

serial WS23L71
