Default 69 Charger heater box

I have 69 charger that is being rebuilt. My question is were the heater boxes painted soild black or did they have some of the white fiberclass fibers showen. I thought it was solid black when it was purchaesed. Any help will be gratefull since I want it orignal.

What is the correct section and how do I get thier? This site is hard to work with. I cannot find anything that I want even to get here it was trial and error and finaly fond my post

From the main Dodge Forum site, just scroll down and view the various headings of the different sections. Each one has a brief description of what the section is for. Not really difficult.
