Help! Looking for 68' Dodge Superbee
Hi! My friend's father passed away in 1999 and I am trying to help her hunt down his car that meant so much to them. I've included her message below and would appreciate any help we can get! - Katie
I searched for this car a couple of years ago with no luck. It's a possibility that it may have been at the Woodward Dream Cruise this year, so I'm hoping this post will get to the person it needs to.
My father passed away in 1999, when I was 9 years old. Soon after his passing, my mother had to sell the my dad's car, a yellow, 1968 Dodge Superbee. The car had an automatic transmission and the motor was an original 440, but was bored out by Jim Hale to be a 500 stroker motor. My dad and I worked on this car quite a bit before he passed and I have spent most of my adult life thinking about it. With all of this being said, I am trying to find the car's whereabouts. I do not have the VIN number or any further information. My mom (living in Canton, Michigan at the time) sold the car to someone who lived in Westland, Michigan so I hoping maybe someone has some information. Secretary of State has already been contacted and unfortunately, was no help.
I own a floral design business called Lee Floral Design, which is named after my dad. I am hoping that I can be reconnected with this car for a short period of time to bring it and my floral designs together for a photoshoot. Fingers crossed for some good old fashioned detective work and a little bit of help.
