Sounds like a very nice GTX. I almost had a '69 GTX, it was in grey primer, had new quarters, new door panels, new exhaust, new dash pad and was in great shape. All it needed was paint, it was clean and straight and the 440 had a sleight running problem, it ran but needed a little tuning. It was only $4,500, but no banks at that time would even think of loaning me the money on a car that old.[:@][:@] That was also before I had ever established any credit, if I come across such an offer again it will be mine. I look forward to hopefully seeing some pics of your GTX.

I used to have a '71 GTX myself. It was black with gold accents, white interior, 440 4-speed, 3.54 Dana, console delete, cassette player/recorder, front chin & rear deck spoilers.... one of those cars you kick yourself for ever parting with. By the way, 71RoadRunner, there is currently a 71 GTX listed in eBay with a sunroof- link below. If only I had $$$$$$$........[&o]

No doubt. A friend of mine is hoping to find his dad's '71 GTX that he had owned before he was born. Apparently it was his comming birth that led to the selling of the GTX back then. He has two or three pictures of it and it seems to be red or possibly orange, has the chin spoilers, hood pins, slotted exhaust tips, but I forgot which hood it had on it. Tracking down a car like that can't be easy either.
