i just bought a 73 charger se. it came with a 400 but now has a 440. i want to build the 440 but i dont know what year it is.


the codes i found on the block are as follows: 1021 77
400 6630-44-3 these are on the pass side of the block under the head






there are also some numbers stamped on the block by the front of the intake: 9t 440 e

That's a '78 model year 440- built in October '77. Low compression, cast crank version.
