Default 71 Roadrunner needs new headers

Guy's and Gal's the old Bird needs new set of headers it has Headmen on it now 1-5/8 from areounf 1978.
Darn speed bump and now the collector at teh joint of the four pipes cracked. Welded once 10 years ago but she cracked again.

What you recommend? I am going to go to a high torque started while changing the headers.

71 383 Power Stearing and A/C 4 spd.

it really depends on how much youre willing to spend...if you want to stay low buck, i had a set of flowtech headers and they held up nicely. on the other hand, if you dont mind spending some bigger money, you can get a set of hookers...i have hooker super comps now.

i had hedman when we first put the 340 in, and i also had problems with them cracking at the joints.

thats another fine point...the flowtechs are VERY inexpensive. there were nothing wrong with mine, but they werent coated and the hookers were.

I agree. Mine has Dynomax ceramic coated headers, but that is because the Hooker Super Comps are far more expensive with the ceramic coating than the Dynomax.

Or, if you want to spend the BIG BUCKS, you might check out tti exhaust. They specialize in headers and exhaust systems for A,B, C and E body Mopars. I'm going to drop in a set while rebuilding the front suspension on the ole '74 Charger this winter (time and work permitting).

I have TTI's 3" headers back mandrel bent aluminized exhaust and it is a work of art and made a huge improvement.
