Take a look at my 71. Once you see Dodge Deep Amethyst Pearl .....its an instant love affair. Up close in the sun light there are little speckles of purples and blues mixed in. It looks black at various distances and lighting and people are always surprised when the come closer and see its a deep dark purple. Non-mopar nuts always ask me if its Plum Crazy ...that seems to be the only thing they can associate Mopardom too.

 

I think Silver is a great choice, personally I think I'm going to go with a darker orange since it contrasts well with the black 6 pack hood, I don't wan't to look too much like a pumkin though,
people tease me enough about my big pumpkin head!

 

Silver is a great idea, I've only seen one or two Roadrunners in silver ever.

 

Just make sure you do the black stripes on the hood. Some day, when I repaint my B5 Road Runner Vert, it will get the black hood stripes.

 

I have though about getting the over the roof strobe stripe for mine, but I also really like the look of it without it. I also think that if I go with the stripe I would also have to add the spoilers, especially the chin spoilers.

You didn't mention what color the interior is. Black, I assume? I have always been partial to the B5 metallic blue myself. A guy in my town did have a silver '68 Runner a few years back.... had the red interior, which makes for a stunning combination. Don't think it has the same impact with black gut, though. Just my opinion......

 

Let me think for a minute......yep, I'm gonna go with the bright YELLOW!

When is the paint going to get done? I think Silver is a nice choice.

But no hating on red now... I like red...
