Default 88 360 Dodge Pickup Block for a 74 Dodge Charger

Its me again, I was just informed by my machinest that the block he found for me came out of an 88 Dodge Pickup Truck and it is a 360. I was wondering what modifications, if any, may be needed to make this work in a 74 Dodge Charger. I did some research and found that the transmission will bolt right up, what I am concerned about is the motor mounts and what modifications may need to be done to make this combination work. I did some further research and found that the casting for this block was used from 1975 to 1990. Any help would be apprectiated. Thanks a bunch guys and have a blessed New Year!

Is this a block or a complete motor? Mopar LA series motors had two different crankshaft main bearing journal diameters. Also the 360 block is externally balanced.
To use this in place of a 318 (internal balance) or cast crank 340(different internal balance) you will need to buy a 360 balanced torque converter or flywheel. I'm not up on late 318 motors, they may or may not have the motor mount "ears" spaced closer on the drivers side. Try your motor mounts. Schumaker Creative Services makes replacement hi-po mounts that come complete with hardware. A good investment if you plan on flogging your Charger.
If you have just the bare block, companies like Hughes Engines Inc. will sell you a stroker kit that will take your 360 to 408.

Hope this helps
