Default 1968 Charger engine

Can help me here, I am pulling the motor (440 auto) out of my 1968 Charger. Can I pull the motor without pulling the tranny? Got it all disconnected but it won't come away from the tranny. I know the small blocks have to be removed, it's been awhile since I pulled a big block. I have removed the four small bolts to the torque converter. Thanks Paul

That's good, I was going to suggest knocking around it with a rubber or plastic mallet to knock it loose.

Default Going back together

The flex plate bolts that go to the torque converter have one that is offset a little. The torque converter will only bolt up one way. If you haven't marked it, while it is out take the flex plate and line up the bolt holes and give one of them a quick shot of white spray paint or something to mark it. You may already know that, but I thought I might save you some time if you didn't.
