1966 or 1967 waterpump housing??

Could someone please help me by explaining what 3XX11 cast into my waterpump means?? I am trying to figure out whether this housing is correct for my car.

dont know a lot. do know that that there many other differences from al to iron. in one if the years they changed from iron to al. on trucks to get parts you need to know if its iron or al.
