JUST WONDERING HOW MUCH NITROUS YOU GUYS ARE RUNNING. I HAVE A SPARE ZEX KIT AND WAS THINKING ABOUT SPRAYING MY 300SRT WITH A 100 SHOT BUT DIDNT KNOW IF THAT WAS TOO MUCH. WHAT IS THE MOST YOU CAN SPRAY? WHAT PLUG WILL I BE NEEDING? I WAS ALSO THINKING ABOUT SPRAYING A SMALL 75 SHOT TO BE SAFE. HELL I GUESS MY QUESTION SHOULD BE HOW MUCH CAN I SAFELY SPRAY WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL HELP.

 

I would stick with the 75shot. If you put some slicks on your SRT you would run low 12's with just a 75shot.

 

I haven't fiddled with NOS in my SRT but I did have a NOS system on a 95 Ford Ranger 4.0L V6 With the usual mods, Headers, exhaust, CAI, and Chip. I put a 75Hp Shot on that and it was great(Was running low 14teens high 13teens). My local speed shop said 75Hp would me a Max safe for that big V6. I would think on an SRT8, you could get away with 100-125HP very safely....as long as it was installed properly with it injecting only at WOT.

 

You want to be real careful with NOS launches from the line, especially with DR's (drag radials).
This system has a launch that is hard enough to snap a half-shaft. The half shaftsare the wink link in the SRT8 drive system. SEVERAL have been broken already.
Stronger shafts are just out (rated 800-1000hp)but not cheap.

On our 5.7 Charger area, there is MangoinTX spraying 100 shot Zex with a Superchip 91 tune and he reports so far so good. However, the Zex site says 75 safe, 100 -4 degree tune, and 125 -6 degree tune. I think you are safe at 100 with your bigger 6.1, but I'd make sure you have enough octane to slow the flame rate down a bit with your higher compression ratio...

Sound like fun though.

100 shot is safe, but don't go beyond that.
