I have a 98 jeep cherokee sport and want to convert to a v8, but I don't want the same old chevy that everyone uses, So does anyone know if it is possable to drop a 6.1 srt8 in it? if so what would have to be done? I was thinking of using the trans off a newer style grand cherokee so I can still have 4wd(AWD to be exact). I could use as much help and information as possable.

 

Aftermarket playersput them into the JK. I do not know if the JK came with a different frame or not.
