Hey all,

I am stuck between which vehicle I should get. I went to the local Dodge dealer to check out the SRTs (which they had none of) so I had to test drive the R/T versions of the Magnum (regular R/T) and Charger (Daytona). Both were great cars, but I'm just having a hard time picking which one I want. I already know which ever one I pick will be the SRT8 version but beyond that? What are the positives and negatives of each? Does one have more problems than the other? How about -REAL- world 1/4 mile times and 0-60 between the two? I have two (Charger and Magnum SRT8s) spec'd out that the dealer can have here in two days that are similar in options (groups 1,2, and 3, NAV, rear video, etc...).

Well with real world 1/4mile e.t's some SRT charger owners hit 12.8's with just better rubber at the rear but most hitting low 13's. As for the magnum the fastest I have heard of stock is 13flat cause it is almost 200pounds heavier then the charger.

 

Cool stuff, looks like I'll be getting the Charger (in Silver Metallic) Should be @ the dealer by this Friday for me to pick up, can't wait! Now, how are these SRTs against the new body mustang gts? What mods do I need to do to mine to get it to hang with a GT500 in the 1/4 mile? Thanks.

 

The new GT's are no problem for the srt's but GT's with minor bolt-on's will hang with a srt. And if you want to shutup a GT500 then intake, pcm flash, and a 75shot will shut thier supercharged mouths. But with the GT500 they are only $1,500 away from 10second e.t's so watch yourself.
