Charger SRT-8 That thing got a Hemi? Indeed, a 6.1L Hemi that is. The Dodge Charger SRT-8 pounds the pavement with severe power.

Is this a factory piece?

Default Is this a factory piece?

I just bought my first SRT-8 and this looked a little funny. It the red colored thing sandwiched between the air cleaner and the throttle body a factory piece? What is it?

I have a 2006 and I just looked and it doesn't have that red thingy. Looks like some kind of spacer to me. Maybe a performance mod?

I did some searching for "throttle body spacer review" and found about 90% of folks say it's a joke. Then I found two dyno tests that proved about 5-10 hp gain.

Answer: hard to tell, depends who you believe. I doubt it does much if anything. Maybe it's just the loss of wallet weight that helps performance!

Oh well, I'm sure it doesn't hurt anything.
